Privacy Policy

Who is responsible

FireMettle LLC runs FireMettle and is responsible for the personal information described here. Write to jwcb0613@gmail.com with any privacy question or request.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address and sign-in details.
• Your profile: what you tell us, such as your state, where you are in the hiring process and the departments you are aiming for.
• Your learning records: lesson progress, practice exam answers and scores, saved interview answers, practice and training logs.
• Your resume: what you write in the resume builder.
• Payments: Stripe takes your card details. We keep only the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your membership's status and dates; we never see or store your card number.
• Messages: membership requests, contact-form messages and personal-trainer requests you send.
• Technical records: standard server logs our hosting keeps to run and protect the site. We do not use advertising trackers or sell your information.

Some things stay only on your device, in your browser's storage: your sign-in session, display preferences such as the theme, your custom fitness plan answers and your flashcard progress.

How we use it

• To run your account and the features you use: lessons, practice, progress, the resume builder and your membership.
• To take payment and manage your membership.
• To answer your messages and keep the site secure.

Instant feedback on mock oral boards

When you ask for instant feedback on a mock oral board, the questions and your answers, with your name and email address removed, are sent through Vercel to Google, whose software writes the feedback automatically. We send nothing else about you.

Videos and your voice

• Some fitness articles include videos hosted by YouTube or Vimeo. When you play one, that service receives your request under its own privacy policy.
• If you answer oral-board questions out loud, your browser's own speech recognition turns your voice into text. Some browsers, such as Chrome, send the audio to their maker to do that. FireMettle never receives the audio, only the text.

Who processes it for us

• Supabase: our database and sign-in.
• Vercel: hosting, and the connection to Google for instant feedback.
• Cloudflare: storage for lesson videos.
• Stripe: payments.
• Google: writes instant feedback on mock oral boards.
• Our email provider: account emails such as sign-up confirmations and password resets.

We share information with a fitness partner only if you ask for a personal trainer and agree to it on that request.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your information from Settings, under Privacy & data, or by writing to jwcb0613@gmail.com. You can delete your account yourself from the same place, once nothing is owed on it; a membership ends when the account is deleted. Deleting your account deletes your learning records and resume; we keep payment records as long as the law requires.

Children

FireMettle is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We will post changes here with a new effective date, and tell members by email about material changes. See also our Terms of Service.
